Safe
While driving through the park, we often came across large herds of elephants. It was always a joy to see a bachelor group or a herd of females and calves.
On one of our wildlife drives, a tiny baby elephant was lying down in the middle of a narrow dirt road, an adult female gently coaching it with its trunk. For a moment, we thought the little creature was dead! But after 15 minutes of prodding, the rascal jumped up and ran for safety between its mama’s legs. That scene right there, inspired me to carve Safe out of cherry wood. The work is finished with clear Danish oil.
